SRAM's DoubleTap Shifters work so well, many elite rider are acclaiming them as their favourite.

SRAM DoubleTap- unlike existing dual control levers (Shimano and Campagnolo) which have 2 gear levers integrated with the brake lever, SRAM's Double Tap integrates a single gear lever behind the brake lever.

To control the rear derailleur, this ergonomic lever is moved inwards. Move the lever 15 degrees and it stops at an index point. If you release the lever at this point, the chain moves to the next smallest rear cog into a higher gear. Repeat this process to continue moving into higher gears. If you keep moving the lever past the index point, the chain moves up to a larger cog, from one to three cogs at a time.

For the front derailleur, the lever moves similarly, with a push and release to move to the smaller ring and a two position movement to shift to the larger ring.

SRAM call this multi-stage action in one lever DoubleTap.

And how long does it take to master SRAM DoubleTap shifting? One ride.
