If you can't figure out why the Bing carburetor on your Puch,Sears or J.C.Penny moped keeps leaking gas, the cause is commonly a worn float needle. This item attaches to the float and prevents gas from entering the carburetor and leaking out once the float bowl has been filled. When the teflon tip of this needle becomes worn it will no longer provide a seal and gas will enter and overflow the float bowl.
